New guy on the block.
As soon as I saw some of the DIY projects that some of you have created, I knew that I would enjoy this place.
Presently I only have one tank up and running.
I do have a 10 and a 29 gallon thanks to the recent Petco $1.00 a gallon sale. Both empty and ready for some DIY attention.
Cheers!

Actually yes.
Your own submerged tree and rocks has inspired me.
I'm trying to think of ways to disguise a Mattenfilter.
Thinking a tree trunk rising out of the corner of the 10 gallon might work.
I happen to have several pieces of the 3/4 inch foam in the shed.
Thanks very much for describing your procedure.

Sure, no problem. Sounds like it's going to be pretty cool. I don't think I've ever setup a Mattenfilter before but I understand they work well. Lots of surface area to handle debris and support healthy bacteria.
