The fully assembled DIY water bottle power filter
is a simple yet effective design for providing
some extra mechanical filtration for extra messy
situations.
The Maxi-Jet powerhead intake fits the Dasani
water bottle neck like a glove. Just the right
amount of pressure to secure the bottle until
you're ready to return the powerhead to a more
conventional use.
These young Mbuna Cichlids are curious about
the new filter.
The water in this 20 gallon aquarium is getting a
quick scrubbing after the gravel substrate was
replaced with some playsand (river sand) from
the hardware store.
